Paradise rediscovered. Review on Srinagar

My first reminiscence of Kashmir are of attending a typical Kashmiri Marriage, the singing

and tea pots(Kahwa), snow ,oil rich food a culinary bonanza which no one can forget, Kashmir has all that is required to call it a Paradise, a famous Poet was so much inspired by the beauty of it that he said ''If there is a heaven it is Kashmir'',mostly People go to kashmir in summers but one can visit kashmir in all four seasons and find the changing hues like von gogh's paint brush doing magic .

It is very difficult to mention all the places that one could visit because every nook & corner has something special to offer,the village life has it's own charm ,I remember visiting Kashmir in the month of Sept-Oct I was in Safforn fields and it was Full moonlit night Safforn was on full bloom it was something which cannot be Fully expressed in words ,The Moonlight was reflected by saffron flowers and the whole fields was illuminating ''Twilight ZONE''. Few reccomended Places to visit are PAHALGAM Famous for Lidder River & Valley and also base camp for Amarnath,it remains my favourite ,it offers angling, river rafting, trekking, horse riding and has a club for indoor and mini golf facilities simlarly GULMARG is one of the most beautiful hill stations that one can find, it offers snow games in Winters and has one of the highest Cable car in the World in the middle of Summers when rest of the India is Steaming with Power & Water Shortage it can take you to Glaciers uphill & Slide you down to Gulmarg by evening,SONMARG is like Alps of Europe,Wullar Lake isone of thr Biggest Fresh water Lake in the Asia,Dal Lake is famous for House Boats and one can Visit Mugal Gardens,shikara rides and Overlooking the Dal Lake is Famous Shankaracharya temple ,one can also visit handicraft shops for walnut carvings,shawls etc.

One Cannot have whole of Kashmir in One go You need to visit it no. of times and in different seasons to enjoy it's beauty for ex-Like MIDAS touch Leaves of chinar and the vegetation around Kashmir in Autumn wears a Rustic/Golden look.I have visited almost all the Hill Stations in India but Nothing Stand Close to Kashmir,If you can Plan a trip do make a visit I would recommend a package tour for the people who are visiting for the first time as tour operators take care of everything ,the present circumstances are much much more peaceful than before the travel agents will guide you some Do’s & don’ts and believe Me you’ll be surprised to see people from all over the India and Abroad flocking over the tourists spots.
