This airport has around a dozen flights operating and so many tourists coming to kashmir go through this hell. the tourism department and airport authority have not at all made any proper arrangement and it is utter chaos inside the airport.the waiting rooms are cramped.lack of infrastructure and space is quite evident from the scences seen there.it is highly unorganised with very bad management. airport is like a fish market where there are some counters and officials behave in a disgusting manner. there is no specific arrangement.the audio system is pathetic .as a passenger we will never know which annoucement isgoing on?dont be suprised if someone misses a flight.
the baggage identification procedure is done in a haphazard manner.luggages thrown all over the place. if you are travelling by indian airlines better be a step careful.The jand k government which depends on tourism for its revenue has to think of seriously upgrading the facilities and see that the passengers are in comfort.
