Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions are one of the leading coaching institutions for entrance examination for Engineering and medicine. There are several batches like C1, Icon, IPL, CHINA, etc depending on the capability of student and how much he can pay.
But China batch is purely based on merit. The college timings are 6AM to 10PM and the students must stay in hostel. I don't understand how parents even agree with these institutions to make them robots which work for so long time. All you get in this batch is studies and no other recreation. This is too much stress for student but finally the result will be good.
IPL batch is a bit lesser than CHINA. The students in this batch are expected to get satisfactory ranks and marks in the exams. The study hours of this is also high but say scholar facility is available. There will also be a difference in the skills of faculty teaching both the batches.
ICON is a batch which is completely left free. The faculty which teaches this batch is neither highly talented nor they care about students' career. They just teach and struggle to clarify the doubts of students. I would not suggest students to join this batch at all.
Coming to schools, they teach whatever they should teach in Intermediate right from 6th class. This will be in addition to the state syllabus. This is not at all helpful for students. Even if a student gets marks, it must be because the same multiple choice questions are given in the exam which are given in the text book and solved in the class. Even the order of options remain same. So the chances of student mugging up the option and getting marks is much higher than student applying his skills, solving the paper and getting marks. I am not saying that all the students are like this. But it is just an experience.
The students of C1 batch are those who apply a bit of knowledge and solve the paper. They are selected purely based on merit from the overall performance and another screening test. No doubt, this test will be difficult for that particular level. The questions will be new and unseen for students. But the chances of guessing and getting marks is also there as all the questions are multiple choice type.
So the conclusion is that, if you want application skills, independent development never join sri chaitanya institutions. But if you want good result in the end, try to get into the top batches like IPL or CHINA.
