I had a touring job, covering almost whole of Tamil nadu. I have stayed in Pondicherry Aurobindo Ashram, they charge approx Rs 400 for a night stay in a good room.
Rooms are named Peace, Silence etc.Every room has bed, attached toilet, dressing table etc. Rooms are Economy, Delux etc
It is an awesome experience. Everywhere there are beautiful quotations to read.
Besides there are rooms with windows that open to the sea, with sea not further than a few meters. Also they have a very beautiful garden and a paid lunch home.
It is a must visit for any one going to Pondicherry now Puducherry.
