I was very excited yesterday before going for the movie. The expectations were huge. They had to be for the prequels were so great. And the Spidy 2 was an improved one.so logically the 3rd one had to be better than the 2nd. Right?
But it was a disappointment. The movie it seems attempts to do too many things. Love story, Identity crisis, Confusion, Managing fame with Two-and-half villians.feels like too much for a short movie. Obviously in dealing with all these, it falls flat on the plot which doesn't keep a viewer hooked and boredom sets in the middle of the movie.
The movie begins with scenes like world, especially where Spider Man is the protector of Law and Order, has suddenly became a better place to live in. Celebrations all around, Spidy's love story picking up well, until a thief with suddenly appears from Spidy 1 tries to do anything and everything but good and defends that he is a victim of circumstances.
Further, no one knows where the new species comes from and lands into Spidy's bike to begin what I term as Identity Crisis. Won't reveal too much what happens after that.see the movie to discover that:)
One went to see the movie to atleast see some breathtaking stunts and airborne fights which were so omnipresent in previous 2 versions. I just waited till the end that atleast 1 stunt wil be there so as to remember something from the movie. But alas, Spidy needs help in the movie from someone else to win the battle and because of this the whole excitement goes for the toss.
Even performance wise, Peter Parker(Toby) doesn't live upto the mark. The movie lacks excitement all around.
