A pleasant and efficient flying experience. Review on SpiceJet

I recently went on a delhi-pune and back flight on spicejet on 5th july. at first I was a bit hesitant towars spicejet as I had never flown on a low cost airline before and doubted their reliability.i had heard lots of comments on these low cost carriers and didnt know what to expect.I had an idea that spicejet was one of d better low cost carriers {everything is better than air deccan, isn't it}. I got a shock very early as two weeks before I had to fly, I recieved an sms that they had cancelled the saturday flight I had taken.....

I didnt know what 2 do.

I talked to spicejet and to my surprise they willingly changed my flight date from sat- mon to thu- sun[which I preffered] without any fuss.i recieved the tickets through mail in 3 hours. I was really surprised and delighted with this as I had heard stories of low cost  carriers stranding the passenger or taking lots of money from him to cchange the dates in such a case!!

i'll move on to the journey now, the check in was smooth and the lady in the counter was helpful and cheery.i saw that 4 deccan flights had got delayed by 2-3 hours and 1 go air flight by 2 hours, after this I was ready for almost a delay for an hour , but surprisingly all spicejet flights were going on time!! that made my day!! due to traffic congestion the flight was delayed by 25 minutes, but I don't blame the airline for this, they cant do anything abt d poor conditions of the airports.the boarding was smooth and the air hostess greeted us with a warm smile.

now i'll rate the in flight experience in these categories:

AIR HOSTESSES: the air hostesses and stewards were smart and freindly . they always had a warm smile throughout. they were always willing to help anyone with a freindly note.

CABIN: the cabin was cheerily dressed in shades of red and whie and was clean and pleasing.the seats were ok in the departing flight and were better in the flight by which I came back. wonder why they have different kind of seats in both planes??the only thing I didn't like was the leg space and the reclinability of the seats.the seats were really cramped and reclined very less. surprisingly an in flight magazine was also provided which was a welcome.

FOOD: Thankully the do give sweets and water for free [ unlike the pifull air deccan] and now they have done away with the cookies and have started a new system of selling sandwiches for rs.50 and juices for rs.20.the food is quite good , only it is not good.at least better than some low costs.......at least u dont get bored!!

TECHNICAL: the take off and landing was very smooth just like the costly kingfisher airlines. the planes were new and effecient and m ade very less noise, unlike indian airlines.The ac was good throughout the flight.the only thing to complain abt is the cabin pressure which was too low and my ears kept on closing and popping

after landing , we got our luggage in about 10 minutes.overall it was a pleasant flying experience for a low cost carrier and was very effecient and comfortable. I hope spicejet mentains its standards and rules the lcc market. let's see what competition jetlite gives to spice jet { jet lite gives a free meal in a box in every flight].but for now spicejet rules!!!
