SpiceJet Succks period
It is one of the worst experiences me and my family had when we travelled to India recently with international luggage (40 kg) allowed.Spicejet allows only 20 kg (??? - yeah I know).
Spicejet forces you to pay for the remaining 20 kg with a charge of 80 ruppees per kg. if you have 5-6 passengers flying international and taking the first connecting flight which is a spice jet, forget it they will rip you off, The damage can be well in 1000s of 10000s of ruppees which is easy money for them.
They are oblivious to the fact that International Carriers allow around 40 kg to carry to India but you cannot use that 40 kg to get into a connecting flight (SpiceJet), even though you show them that you had travelled international the previous night (landing in Mumbai at around 12:00 AM)
Please Please do not use SpiceJet for any international connections (from Mumbai to Goa or elsewhere) . We had a very very bad experience and would not like any of co-passengers to go thru the same. This is based on our personal experience.
We have travelled with kingFisher (expensive but best ), Jet and Indian Airlines before (the first early morning flight from Santacruz Airport) to Goa but never had a worst time as we had this time.
I have dropped number of emails asking them to provide me with their Policy information they don't have one! for international travellers.
It was our mistake to expect a lot from SpiceJet. They are not upto the Standards yet.
