I was expecting a package that was booked in Mumbai on 30th June. Any other courier company would have delivered it in Banglaore on 1st July.
When I enquired on the website and sms, on the 1st, the system didnt recognise it. On the 2nd, I was told that it was in Bangalore GPO and had reached there on 2nd July. Any other courier company website would have mentioned what time it had been delivered and would possibly have delivered it too, but not Indian speed post, oh no, no, no, no.
On the 4th, the package had still not reached me by 12.10 p.m, hence I set off for GPO hoping to collect the document. After having been guided to the Speedpost delivery counter, I was told that the same had been taken by the postman for delivery and I was given the postman's mobile phone number. When I called to enquire, he said he had already delivered it to my office. Upon reaching my office and inquiring I was told that it hadn't been delivered. When I called the postman again, he said that it was in the GPO itself and would be delivered in the afternoon round(by 2.30). I am not sure what he gained by lying to me.
I had to go again to the GPO to recover the package myself.
Please don't use Indian speed post.
