It all started with Quantum of Solace, the debacle of the classic Bond film structure. The movie diverted from the action hero Bond to a depiction of his personal vendetta that takes equal screen time. As we all know, this change was not very well received. Then came Skyfall, which I was hoping would learn from its predecessor's error. It somewhat stuck to the  Bond formula, until the end. Wow! What a ridiculous ending. Watch it and tell me it doesn't remind you of Home Alone, where Macaulay Culkin sets childish traps for Joe Pesci. The only redeeming point of Skyfall is the death of an important character.

Well, if you thought these were bad, brace yourselves for the most laziest, hollow, one-dimensional movies in the Bond franchise in my opinion. The downward slope for Daniel Craig, that began high with Casino Royale, hit the lowest point with this movie. I do not know how people praised it's action sequences, which were nothing but shots of speeding cars from different camera angles, that was it. No obstacles, no tension, no'edge of the seat' moments at all, in the chase scenes. The fight sequences were even more lackluster. There is a scene where Bond is bound, blindfolded and is being carried in the back of a prison van, with 2 men with SMG's guarding him. As soon as the van reaches it's destination, our hero magically kicks the heavily armed men and escapes by loosening the bounds in the most uninspiring way possible. The plot itself is somewhat ludicrous, again delving into Bond's past. One gets a more'Taken' feeling than a dashing suit clad secret agent. IT is not what I want in a Bond film. Obviously, I wouldn't reveal much about the story as there are a few existent twists and turns. Christoph Waltz plays the villain, with no a surprise one with a German accent. It seems he can only speak in accent, given his fluency in English. His screen time is pathetic, we do not see him actually talking until the second half. The only redeeming character, other than Bond of course.

Acting wise, all of them try to do their best given a dull script, and some insanely silly dialogues between the lead characters. Léa Seydoux is the female lead, Madeleine Swann,  and carries her part moderately well. The ending is just your average'all-iz-well' one that you do not even care about. You're just like' Why did you even bother, movie?' There are some other famous side characters who try to make their presence matter, but aside from that, the lazy writing is abundantly evident.
