I have subscribed and tried ISPs like, Tikona, Reliance, Vodafone, Tata Photon, AirTel and found one or other problem with those.
For the last 18 months I have been using Spectranet FOX. This has lived up to their claim as far as the speed is concerned. It is always ON. The MTBF is very long. Did not face any problem so far. Once or twice the service was interrupted with prior notice through SMS. It was resumed in less than 6 to 8 hours time.
When one is within the download-volume quota, speed is just amazing. Normal or peak hours. The average is around 15 MBps. I also use three devices concurrently at times. There is hardly any perceptible drop in download speed. Of course, after using the download volume, the speed drops to 1 to 2 MBps, depending upon the plan.
One fascinating aspect is that I do not have to configure anything to get connected with this ISP. After the activation of the connection, I just plugged the LAN into my desktop with Ubuntu 14.04. Rest is taken care by the OS automatically. Not sure about other OS.
