Two living legends who need no introduction. Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh and script writer turned poet Javed Akhtar have done the magic again after the huge success of their earlier album ''Silsilay''. Many of you might agree that when two creative minds come together, there ought to be some kind of rift between them in terms of thinking and clash of ideas. But they happen for the good! After the success of ''Silsilay'', they were supposed to work on ''Silsilay II'' , some of the compositions that were not included in ''Silsilay''. But due to some misunderstanding, the project was held up and after a gap of 3 years, they teamed up together to bring ''Soz'' to their fans and the fans will surely will not be disappointed.
''Soz'' which means pathos, is a collection of 8 ghazals starting off with -
''Tamanna phir machal jaaye, agar tum milne aajao. Yeh mausam phir badal jaaye, agar tum milne aajao'' - a beautiful ghazal where the lovers have split from each other and mood of the ghazal is such that, things will not be the same again the lover returns back.
''Aap bhi aayiye, humko bhi bulate rahiye, Dosti jurm nahin, dost banate rahiye'' - A true essence of building up friendship with everyone and no place for possiveness and also some postive thinking
''Khwaab jo dekhe hain, auroan ko dhikhayiye, shakl toh aapki zahan mein hogi, kabhi ban jayegi tasveerein, banate rahiye''
''Ab agar aao toh, jaane ke liye mat aana. sirf ahsaan jatane ke liye mat aana.'' - Truely a good lesson to all of us who are leading a busy life and do not find much time to meet our friends.
''Shaam hone ko hai, laal suraj samunder mein khone ko hai...'' - a story of a traveller who do not have any place to stay as the day pass by.
''Aaj maine apna phir sauda kiya hai'' - Very much a story of our daily lives where some of us atleast, do some work which are not in our terms or likings.
''Kyon darein zindagi mein kya hoga, kuch na hoga toh tajurba hoga'' - Another postive thinking ghazal which is very touching and beautifully rendered by Jagjit Singh
''Pyas ki kaise laayein'' - a passable number. ''Ek pal ghamoan ka dariya, ek pal khushi ka dariya'' - a song which is full of hopes.
All and all, the album will not disappoint any of Jagjit Singh fans and people who appreciate good https://lyrics. Some of the songs will grow as you listen day by day.
