I was at this mall in Secunderabad few days back. Found that their customer service is below average, I went in with an intent to purchase Jewelry and Clothing. Due to a family wedding, our purchase needs ranged starting from Rs.1500 saress, to more expensive one going up 30, 000 and Jewelry which was not less than a 2 lakhs. The first Saree counter we encountered was in the 1500 to 2000 range.
We were taken back by the lack of enthusiasm to show us any sarees, being tired of shopping we asked if we could get chairs to sit while they showed the sarees. To this the reply from the sales person was "Sir cheap saree section lo kurchee lu pettamu. Avi costly chiralu section lo ne unttai. So I told the person that the costly section was the next step in our shopping but it fell on deaf ears.
He said he cannot get us chairs. While getting a chair may sound a small issue, there is a deep rooted value in here which if you buy a 10, 000 saree you are valuable however if the same person shops for a lower priced article his/her worth is diminished. This to me sounded unethical and inhuman.
While these discussions were going on, my wife and daughter had selected jewelry and were about to buy it, they were waiting for me.
Having gone through such a humiliating experience, I has decided to not shop else where. Much to the disappointment of my family we did not buy the jewelry as well and went next door and completed our wedding shopping. Over all this place due to its policies, lost business worth 3.8 lakhs that day. Message to the management "Treat all customers as Equal" you do not have to offer everyone soft drinks or coffee, but you need to recognize that regardless the value of a single transaction customer is a customer and basically treating them as humans first will get you continued business" For now I will nver shop there, and neither would I recommend this place to my friends during their next visit to India.
