At the outset, thanks for sharing your e mail ID. If you recall, I was the person who spoke to you about the misbehavior of your in-flight executive Chumani tele on Thursday morning at Frankfurt. To tell you the incident, here it goes:


I ordered for a special Seafood meal through the Lufthansa Website since my PNR was a Lufthansa PNR. There is a facility of updating the food preference in any Star Alliance connections. Somehow, this was reflecting in my ticket while there was some issues in the system for which the same was not reflecting in your list. The same issue happened when I was travelling in my Lufthansa leg of my flight from FRA to BLR, but they treated me differently and got the same for me from business class.


Now regarding the behaviour that I got from SAA, I informed your in-flight executive Chumani tele that I ordered for a Sea Food meal. He immediately pulled up the list and showed me that the same was not there - so he is not bound to serve me. I told him that most of the Star Alliance partners do accommodate requests since I am a Star Alliance gold. Now what happened after that is definitely not expected from anyone - at least not in my last 12 years of continuous international flying.




  1. Chumani Tele started screaming at me in front of other passengers that I was lying by telling him my request. He humiliated me by referring to the passengers adjacent to me that I am a lier and also started screaming that my Star Alliance card was an expired card and I am not supposed to have any other special treatments. I showed him my boarding pass telling him that, if my card is expired, the boarding pass will not show up LH*G - also below my FF number in the boarding pass, it was clearly mentioned Lufthansa Gold.




  2. He screamed at me saying that he will not serve me any more drinks since I was a lier. I was having a JB whisky.




  3. When I pulled out my tickets showing him my confirmed request, he pushed and screamed at me saying that I have to go and sit and have no right to show him that piece of paper. He said that his data is enough to prove me that I am a lair. This kind of physical behavior is completely unknown to me inside an aircraft.






I have filed a complaint with Reggie who was the chief flight purser and he wanted to gift me out of goodwill couple of wine bottles which I have rejected.


The bottomline is that thanks to God, I can afford to eat Seafood and good Whisky at home at my cost. I don't have to travel with SAA to do the same. But after flying so many miles with Star Alliance over the years together, meeting an in-flight crew like "Chumani Tele" is definitely appealing. Is that the way you train your crew to treat Asian passengers? I am not sure, if he would had done with same with a white South African or European passenger in the plane.
