Ok. I wanted an I-Phone for a long time. Found a deal on Sosasta.com - I-Phone 4, 16 Gb for 34k. Was a limited period offer, just like all deals on SoSasta. Bought it. Awaiting delivery. Deal expired the moment I got it - My order number was no 45. So only, 45 phones were probably on offer.
Bought another deal - Rs 99 for a Dental check, scaling, cleaning, polishing, consultation and X-Ray. Didn't have to wait - just paid, and printed out the coupon. Easy as boiling water. Goto any dentist, and just scaling/polishing would be well over 250 bucks. So the deal was definitely worth it.
So whats the GOOD and the BAD about Sosasta. Honestly, everything and nothing. Let me explain.
Sosasta works on a very simple business model - companies offer a product or service in limited numbers primarily for promotional purposes - brand building, or generating volumes, or simply increasing sales, or even gaining annuity customers.
The good is - the deals are just awesome. The bad is - well it depends on what you bought - if you got a discount voucher, then its NOT bad because you can print right away, and use it. Whats better than buying a deal where you pay 500 and get a 1000 discount at a pub - its definitely something you can use over the weekend - if you're too much into pubbing. That was just an example.
BUT, if you bought a physical product - like an AC or a Hard Drive or even a phone - then delivery takes a while, and you have to follow up often - the hardest part is getting through Customer Service - the number seems unanswered(in reality, the number is just busy, and your call is queued up). But hey, I saved about 8K on an I-Phone that came with international warranty, and is factory unlocked. For 8K, I guess the wait is worth it.
Going to the website through Google is a bad idea - google search may often show you a cached version of a deal, while in reality the deal may have expired. Periodically visit the website, and if you like the deal, get it then and there - it may expire fast(like in my case).
Payment is secure, the content is easy to navigate - just select your city, and click on "All Deals" and there you are. Ever since I subscribed, I get daily emails on offers at Sosasta - never do they send the same offer twice(that's less spam).
Ok, getting through customer service may be a challenge, but the staff is courteous.
Overall, a good place to get deals. I recommend the website - just that if you order a physical product, you need to be patient.
