I am shocked at the amount of heat the Sony M4 aqua generates! I would never recommend this phone to anyone. A friend of mine has a three year old daughter who happened to pick up my phone.
and put it to her ear and it burnt her skin without leaving a mark but scared her so much that, she started howling!
No phone should heat up so much that it becomes unbearable even for adults like myself to hold to our ears! I am going to take Sony to a consumer forum and thereafter to court for producing and selling a hazardous phone to Indian consumers!
The phone heats up whether it is charging or if one is using more than two apps simultaneously! It gets so hot that even holding the phone to the ears hurts.
And what is shocking is that in their settings Sony make a small mention that the camera may heat up when the camera isn't even turned on! I advice people not to purchase ANY Sony M4 Aqua because this phone heats up so much that, it actually feels like it's going to explode.I shall also take this to the media because I don't believe Sony aren't aware of this fact.
The battery life too is very poor with two SIMs one barely gets a days work out of it so, all the talk about extended battery life etc is misleading. The phone is good for the screen quality resolution and sound but other than this nothing else.
Even the Eight core Snapdragon processor drags it's heels once you fill up half the 16 Gb ROM and this despite my having an SD card of 12 Gb also, 50% filled. Despite RAM being 95% free the phone lags when switching between apps, when opening apps, when using the browser and opening more than one tab. This phone isn't worth it.
I would advice people to go to Samsung and Apple instead for better all-round devices! However, the heating issue is the worst of all and I intend to take this to the appropriate media and forums bec it is also, a health hazard. It has reached a stage where I intentionally avoid calls bec of the heat of the screen at the top-half! If this was Sony's intention then its working!
