It's a SONY !!!. Review on Sony Wega 21'

When I went to the shop to see a SONY,I found the

SONY & Philips comparable.Philips had a PIP feature

which is bad for the picture tube.So I decided to go

in for the WEGA.

I have very good performance from the Wega,it's crystal

sharp picture & pretty good performance from the box.

Only irritating feature is that when you want to see cricket

matches & you change the channel to the one in which the

match is coming then the channel number overshadows the cricket score.

The sound options are DRAMA,SOFT & something else.

I recomend you put your sound option at DRAMA because all

Hindi films are well ,quite melodramatic.For Star movies

& English movies set the sound option to soft !!

Well ,it's value for money !!

After 2 years of use,well I have one sore point also.

Last week my Sony WEGA was having only Audio & no video.

I thought it might be a cable problem & I rang up the

cable guys.Well what do you know it was a TV problem,took

some time for it to sink in.

I phoned up the authorised centre,hmmm no warranty,call up the other number.

The guy came did something with the remote ( changed some settings )& it came back.Charge ? Rs 350.

So I asked him :

Me : What's the problem ?

Repair guy : Sir it's a software bug...

Me : Software bug ? ,then why didn't it come earlier.

Repair Guy : Sir for some people it comes in 1 year ,for some people it comes after the warranty & for some people it does not come at all.

Left me 350/ poorer ,it's not the money but makes you wonder

how a world class product company can give you such headaches....

Go ahead & buy it anyways ,who knows you may be the lucky guys ...
