I have heard that in India Copy Right means ''Right to copy''!! well it is well proven by Sony televion. I enjoy the drama, comedies that are played on Sony TV but recently its been all about money. Ofcourse thats what its always been about but how low can one stoop for money? It seems that every serial/game show etc. that Sony TV plays is a copy of some western (more American) television. For example, recent show Deal Ya No Deal that is an exact copy of american show ''Deal or No Deal''. The set is same, lighting is same, even the models are presented on same manner. Even thought they have copied everything from American show, they have worst off the effects because it is simply much entertaining to watch ''Deal or No Deal'' The issue isn't about immitating but it is about copying entire set, sound, everything, even the dialogues are translated in hindi which made it worst. The only difference between the two show is the sound and light effect and the fact that the host of ''Deal Ya No Deal'' has hair and the models look more sexy and appealing and glamorous in ''Deal or No Deal''.

Well some of the other shows are India Idol, Fear Factor India and there are many others like Jito Chappar Phad Ke...etc...

Now these are the game shows that are copied off but what about the serials???

If you noticed the serials are different in names maybe the start of every serial is different with different story and theme to attract viewers but after some point they are all parallel. If Jassi is sad, Kripya is sad, Kyussum is sad...come on and did you notice that these are all female lead shows!! Now they have a new show ''Khabi Khushi Kabhi Gham'' it seems good at this time since it just started lets see what happens....

A piece of advice for the Sony TV team.....if its about money, and attracting audience, stop copying too much of everything form foreigners and think about attracting public with our classics and play serials like ''Dada Dadi ki Kahiniya'', ''Vikram Aur Betal'', ''Ramayan'' etc.... once in life time and you will profit beyond imagination and your TV's demand will be at its Peak...

Cheers
