It seemed to have a lot of options for a relatively inexpensive price. It also had dialing buttons on both the handset as well as the base, which was important to us. It comes with the following features:speed dialing
3 mailboxes to store messages
speakerphone
conference calling
There is a ringer on both the base and the handset. So you have to figure out how to turn the ringer off on both places, which can be quite an endeavor (the manual is pretty thick, and the ''chapters'' are not always very clear or obvious to find what you're looking for). In addition, there's this annoying option in which the answering machine will just sit there and beep after someone has left a message--talk about obnoxious! Again, it took a while to figure out how to turn that thing off. Finally, there seems to be a _lot_ of buttons on this machine. if you decide to buy it, do NOT lose the operating manual, or you will be very sad if you want to change any of the options .
