Bought this product three years back.
Pros:
Great picture quality -HD quality
Works fine with SDHC class 10 32GB Sony Memory card
Light weight
Software provided helps you to create standard DVD and Blu ray DVD
Good value for money. Great product for the price spent.
Cons
Does not work at hill station(Not sure whether camcorder sold to me has defects or unreliable - May be I am so unlucky.). I tried using at 6 -10 degrees at Kodaikanal(Tamil Nadu)
Need to have good background knowledge to buy this product.
When I told this to Sony authorized Service center they did not believe.
When you are buying new Memory card always take your camcorder test it and then pay. Recently I bought 64GB SDXC card 94MB/S Class 10 but found that this memory card is not compatible(to read story about this experience at Sony Center at Anna Salai Chennai scroll below) with this Camcorder.
Due to this observation I will say that the product is Great but unreliable. Knowledge level of Sony sales and Service center is pathetic at Chennai.
Never works with SDXC Memory Card but manual claims that this is compatible!
Recently I went to Annai Salai center and I showed my 32GB SDHC Class 10 Sony memory card and asked for new memory card. I believed that Sales staff had good knowledge at Sony Sales center at Annai Salai, Chennai. He sold me 64GB SDXC Class 10 card Sony memory card for Rs 5000 saying that it sames as 32GB SDHC class 10 Memory card. But never really worked and now I am with memory card which totally useless. Sony Sales center head/owner need to be trained how to treat Customer. Knowledge level of staff is also poor. This store is just on Mount road(Annai salai) when we turn left from Road from Chepauk stadium(road connecting Mount road and Beach road)
Lesson learnt:
Buy this camcorder if you are going to use it plains not in hill station if you are so unlucky like me.
Buy memory card by carrying you camera with you. Ensure that memory card works and then pay for it.
There are lot of So called Sony center actually they never are.
I would like to summarize by saying that I am still happy with product.
