This has been a heavily wanted topic. Hence posting few facts based on my experience and R&D done on these two models. Its upto to us to select the product which suits our requirement.
W810
Pros:
Has auto focus which is a real boost and enriches the photos taken to a greater extent. Has duge difference when compared with its counter part W700i(which too has 2MP cam)
Memory stick - 512MB
Radio with RDS - The reception is damn good.
Brilliant display - best in SE (Not sure of the N70 display - might be the screen is bigger but the display matters)
RSS feeds
You get small cute speakers for free now.
Faster when compared to N70
8. Huge support for screensavers and themes (esato.com)
- Huge talk time when compared to N70 - (9Hrs is what we got - on a single full charge ive heard lasting for more than 5hrs of non-stop music + attend calls)
Cons:
Looks a bit plastic
No alternate color versions available.
The snaps taken are not based on true color with internal color adjustments being made (hence not possible for offline editing)
No camera cover (unlike W700i / K750)
N70:
*Pros:
*1. 3G phone - not sure when it ll be useful in INDIA, but nokia india markets saying soon it will be launched ;)
Snaps taken are based on true color so you get brilliant images.
Heard the audio quality is similar to W810 but not sure how it is when played in loudspeaker
Symbian OS support - support for wide applications but if you want a reliable one you need to pay. Thousands of applications are available online but i've heard few crashing your phone.
Cons:
No auto focus for camera
Not suitable for close up shots
No inbuild memory card(except for music edition which comes with 1GB)
The red button closes all running application and this is one real pathetic bug (intentional). Unlike other series 60 phones where Red button is similar to minimizing all open apps.
Very slower when compared to any of S60 models and SE 810. and hangs often.
Hope it was useful :)
Pls note that the resale value has always been in favour for Nokia than SE.
Cheers,
Ashik
