Without my w700i / w800i. Review on Sony Ericsson W700i

Hi friends.This is my second review on the same product. Actually I don’t posses the w700ibut w800i. But since the latter one is not available in the market anymore I decidedto write my review here. Actually this review is not about features and specificationsof the w700i but my experience of not having this phone for the last one week withme.L

My w800i wascreating some problems, the usual ones like slow response, hanging etc. But beforeyou jump to the conclusion that it is a bad phone read the next few lines. I donot blame the phone for acting weirdly. It was because of my experimentation nature.I had installed approximately 150 games and more than 125 applications on my phone!!Yes that is true you do get that many java applications on the internet. Most ofthem I had moved from the phone to memory card. This I though was fine initiallybut once I formatted the memory card (of course before taking a backup of theentire memory card). Then again I copied all the contents that I had backed upto the memory card. At this point problems started. In the games andapplications folder all the apps and games that I had on memory card were beingshown twice or thrice (God knows how). I think the problem was with installingthe applications only. Because of all these issues I had to give this phone tothe service center last weekend and since then today 22sept I don’t have my phoneL. I am currently using Nokia 6610. The thing I am missingthe most is the music that I used to listen for hours on my w800i. That awesomesound is no where comparable to the sound of nokia 6610 or rather for thatmatter any new nokia phones. The biggest blow was when I was coming from Mumbaito Pune and for that 4 hr journey I did not have my w800i. I felt as ifsomething is missing. But once you listen to the excellent sound quality ofw800i / w700i you too would support me. Another thing that I missed were thegames that I loved to play on my phone. Next is the camera that came very handywhile clicking some really good pictures on the Mumbai Pune Express Highway. I was missingthat too. The earphones of the w800i are very comfortable and do not cause painin the ears. One negative thing about them though is that they completely blockthe outside noise which is good while traveling and listening to music, but canbe sometimes dangerous while walking on the road. So be careful. The only differencebetween the w800i and w700i apart from the memory stick is that w700i does nothave auto focus. I would suggest that don’t push your phone beyond its limitbut installing numerous games and try to keep the major part of main memoryfree. Format the memory card once 3 months (remember to backup the data beforedoing so). Tomorrow I will be going to the service center to check whether ithas been repaired or not.
