I knew it, after leaving behind my 6610; I will be not able to keep a phone for long. I am not that kind of person who runs after any new innovation. I love to play with a mobile to its fullest.
So what happen to my Nokia 3660, unfortunately I was so pleased about it & was so publicizing its features, that one of my friend asked for it & I have to give him.
So my hunt for new phone began, which one to buy? Was a big question mark. I am a Nokia die-hard fan. But this time I was open to switch loyalty. There were some phones from Nokia in mind like 6600 or 7610 but I decided to buy a different manufacturer’s phone.
So after spending so many days in research for a new phone I decided to go for Sony Ericsson T610.
When I bought it the main factor for me was its cost, it came cheap to me. When I started using it I found that by using Nokia for so long I was just making myself dumb day by day.
T610 is a phone in the category of Nokia 7250i. But this is far better than those (i) phones. The first thing I checked its connectivity via bluetooth & Wap. I was surprised to see the speed, I felt I am working on some 300Mhz CPU powered PDA. Than I checked for its tone volume, which is far better than any Nokia phones. It has polyphonic ring tone feature & u can download as many as memory permits you. If downloading doesn’t fascinate you, you can make your own tone with music DJ.
Why I am comparing this to Nokia phone just because I was using Nokia phone since its 8110 came in market.
The best thing I like is the presence of THEME in this phone, which is missing in a lot of smart phone including mine 3660, only 6600 have theme features in that.
The 65k colour screen is giving a good effect of colours of the themes & pictures. There are almost 8 profiles in the phone all are editable. The best part is that u don’t need to have a particular silent profile, just on a click of a button any profile can become silent.
The voice calling, voice answering, voice redialing features are very good, this is something new to me. Voice answering is that you just say a word while receiving a call & your call gets activated, like wise you just say a word for redialing a number.
The presence of Bluetooth, infrared & USB port are enough for me to synchronize my phone data with my PC. All the connections options are giving good data transfer speed. & you can keep infrared ON for a long time too, which is missing in NOKIA.
The presence of JAVA & MOPHUN is good for downloading more games or applications.
The presence of camera again a good feature, although picture quality is not as good as mine 3660.
All in all this phone is so good that it will be difficult for me to go back to Nokia again. It is not a smart phone but it has enough features that u might not need a smart phone.
No doubt that Sony Ericsson is making good phones. And I think my next phone will again be a Sony Ericsson. What about a P910?
