Value for Money:

I was searching for a phone to replace my nokia 1100. But I did not intend to exceed Rs.4,000/- I also wanted coor screen and polyphonic ringtones. A composer and all other facilities. What do I do? should I go for a second-hand phone? no, I certainly didn't wish do so either.

One of my friend was using Sony-Ericsson T230 for a long time now. I hadn't noticed the phone earlier and just asked him how was it...he said awsome. I bought it. One thing that impressed me the most, as it does every indian customer.. Value for money. Yes, otherwise how in just about 3,500 would you get polyphonic ringtones, Color screen, A voice Recorder, Composer, java games, gprs facilities, a more than sufficient phone book. (around 300-350 enteries). The sms memory is also fairly large. All in all one cannot have any problems for memory.

The phone is also rough and tough, designed to face the heat and humidity of indian conditions. The outer shine of the body is also very soothing. The screen is big enough and colors are also excellent.

Compared to Nokia2600 which has 10 call memory it has a 30 call memory which is generally a mix of received, outgoing and missed calls. Another good utility is themes. Generally this cheaper phones do not have themes..

There are MMS, chatting and e-mail facilities as well. It has voice-mail as well as push inbox. You can also set two different alarms as well. The sound quality is excellent. Also the default ringtones are soothing.

One can also attach a communicam to this, by which the phone would turn out to be camera phone. The battery life is very good. The talk time is about 2.5-3 hours depending on strength of signal. The standby time is more that 2.5 dayz.

No software or hardware problems ever occur.

Compared to Nokia 2600 it is certainly a better buy in all circumstances.
