Well I purchased sony ericsson spiro in late December 2010 but was disappointed by it. I have seen and used other ericsson phones but this one is not up to mark.
I wanted a simple phone with good sound quality so I opted this by looking its walkman logo. (i know stupid way to buy a product and I did bit of mistake). Anyway, this particular phone has lot of issue with it. All the issues are stated down under:
Issues:
1) Phone has serious software problem. It has a very limited features. It supports java applications but application does not run or execute properly, in short you cannot use add on features like built in track id, facebook, orkut or twitter.
2) Conversation view in the sms is most irritating thing ever. You cannot read sms properly nor can you see complete sms, thus makes this feature useless.
3) Processor is seriously slow and laggy. It takes time to do every thing I mean from opening application to searching contact. You can notice that in the first use itself.
4) Calculator and note feature is not well designed.
5) You cannot send more than one picture or song at a time, i.e you cannot mark several and send it.
6) Crashes alot. Open the cam and take a pic. Oops!! Here you go, a restart, though they have fixed this problem by providing an update but still nothing much has improved.

7) Picture quality is not good in normal condition inspite of 2 MP camera. In brite light it works fine, no issues.
8) No keypad password for unlock. This feature is absent, means you cannot set password in keypad lock. :(
9) No themes available for customization.
10)No PC suit support, worst part. You cannot sync your contact, only way to save it is on sim card then copy to phone. Make sure you copy contact from sim to phone on first use or else you could find hard time finding your sim contact. (it can be accessed by going into more option for contact), moreover because of this you cannot connect your phone to pc for internet browsing as well.
Pros:
1) sound is good, no complaint.
2) average battery life.
3) bright screen and good design and built quality.
Conclusion:
Not a good deal or value for money. At the same price you can have better phone for same price. Has lot of flaws. Skipping this phone is recommended.
