After months of research on the net..reading more than 50 reviews.. I finally decided on buying a SE 750i. Not that I really needed a new phone..( I had just purchased T630 in March 05) but I was so attracted to it that I just couldnt resist temptation.
I finally bought it around 2 weeks back and ''im lovin it!'' ( Sorry macDonalds for using that line ..lol) It cost me Rs.17750/- with bill & warranty, quite a deal I think.
Getting to the phone features...im going to write only what my experience has been with the phone and not copy paste a review from any other site. The moment I had it in the hand I felt so happy and im still happy not at all dissappointed
I will go point by point with each feature of the phone:
The Package: The box contains one handset, battery, software Cd, Charger, Handsfree, 64 Mb Memory Chip & USB cable!!
Handset: The phone rocks!! Its got a very classy look..feels comfortable in your hand and not at all bulky like those fat Nokias. The interface is the same as T630 or any other SE phone. The one thing that strikes out in this phone is the Camera..man its really clear and the pics u click are of excellent quality..of course u cannot compare them with the digicam. And its 2 MP that means u can actually get print outs of the photos in 4 x 6 size. Video Recording is great too. The camera has a Sony cybershot type interface and the flash light is blinding.. I tried removing pictures at midnight in complete darkness and whoa what clarity..amazing flash light.
The media player is cool plays mp3, 3gp video files..sound through the headphones is amazing comes with trademark MegaBass of sony..the loudspeaker is not really that loud..would have liked it to be louder. FM radio is good u need to attach the handsfree.
The games inbuilt are good.. I really like Super real Tennis ..pretty good
Connectivity: Got bluetooth. IR, Gprs, Wap
A few other small things like you can have a GIF wallpaper, Mp3 can be assigned as ringtones or SmS tones
Battery: This I believe is very imp part of your phone. The T630 I had the battery sucked. The K750i Battery is decent enough need to charge it on the 3 day normally..with quite much usage of talktime, playing games and listening to an hour of FM everyday. but I still feel the phone having so many feautures the battery should last longer.. but a few people say the battery improves with usage..my phone is quite new so I will need to see if thats true.
Software CD: has all the drivers required and a phone manager and other softwares which I havent used much. A word here... The software of the phone can be directly upgraded from the website. I have the first software release..they say there are some bugs ..the phone hangs etc..Infact my phone did hang twice when I was in the pictures folder and was trying to start a slideshowand then trying to abort it..but I realised that since the photos are 2Mp the phone takes a bit of time to load them..so the solution was to take it easy and now I face no problems..by the way a new software is out to be upgraded..Again there are rumours that if you upgrade the new software the pic & vid quality has been reduced.
Handsfree: its good, but the earphones keep falling off.. I wonder if my ears are too big!
Usb Cable :The best is the USB cable it makes things so easy for transferring data, songs, pics etc to and fro form your phone to PC. The best part is when u connect the phone, your comp detects it as an additional drive..so all u gotta do is drag and drop..and the transfer is also quite fast.
A lot more to say..but 150 words is the limit...Overall a great phone, worth all the money.. a phone a camera, a media player, Upgradable memory upto 1 or 2 GB what more do u want?
