Hi ,

I have been a Nokia fan all my life and used phones from the basic 3300 to the communicator.

My first brush with Sony ericsson was the T68i when it was launched ( man it has been really too long ago) quite some time ago. I was moderately happy with it but decided to stick with good ol' Nokia.

Recently I was gifted a SE Z200. Which looks great but has no features to write home about. So when I saw the K700i on the stands, I was skeptical about the features. The skepticism lasted till I switched on the phone!!!!!

Absolutely mindblowing. Nothing else can match this phone in the current scenario. All the features you have dreamt about are available in one phone.

I was in 2 minds whether to go in for the nokia 6600 or the SE K700i but K 700i wins handsdown.

Features? This baby has got Blue tooth, IR, Media Player that play Mp3, real audio connectivity, java enabled games, Triband connectivity, a classy camera which supports video shooting, a 40 Mb memory inbuilt and many many more.

Sadly the last point about the memory is also probably its downside too, as the memory cannot be extended. But so far I have 32 java games, 27 poly ringtones, 21 pictures thru the camera, 2 video clips amounting to around 3 minutes totally , 11 themes and still have 30 Mb free. So I guess I cannot complain too much.

The handsfree is very cool too. I had a blue tooth handsfree before and the pairing was simple and very effective.

All in all, the features and simplicity of use gives this phone a THUMBS UP.

There are a lot of freebies available over the internet for the phone even though it is relatively new.

My recomendation is that in case you are looking for a phone in the 20K budget, close your eyes and buy it......
