After quite a long time I am writing about a gadget. Its the phone that I purchased few days back. Am already in love with it. It’s the Sony Ericsson G900. Phone is yes quite complex and features lots of options. All the detailed features please pick it up from their website.

The first thing which I noticed is that, (from the SE phone which I have used earlier-k750i) this one has gone more complex. That should be because of the features its got.

This phone can be used as a full touch screen (quite sensitive to the hand touch even with a scratch gaurd stuck on it) and also thru the keypad. The keypads are much comfortable to use and spaced out very well. The centre dial ( the replacement for the joystick is also very comfy).

Most of the option still remain like a SE phone. Its quite slim and light in weight too. The 5MP camera is really great feature, good clarity too; But would I use it always and replace my camera? I doubt that. But yes I did record some clips and they have come out really well, even the audio is quite clear.and yes it comes with a video conference camera too.

What I wanted was nice business phone plus some funkiness in it, not regular PDA/Communicator kind of phone. This G900 fits straight into it. Quite masculine, neat looks, good finish and smoother key pads, very good multi directional dial, clear screen.

The hand writing recognition is lil tricky coz of the way we write, so simple thing to do is write the way it recognizes, hehe! Yeah its good to scribble addresses or make a small direction note or just write down when you are on hands free. It saves it on the notes!

It comes with a excellent bluetooth headset, which has got amazing clarity and range.

The calendar detailing is very good and has got different views of seeing, weekwise or monthwise etc etc... The battery life is good, its been only few days from my purchase and I have been holidaying with it and the battery last for 2-3 days with 7/8 calls and 10/12 sms per day. Yes the usage was less but mind u I was travelling in the high ranges of northern kerala where mobile networks are not so great. Hence I believe the battery back up should be great. My earlier phone k750i was really good for this matter.

The phone otherwise features blackberry and Wlan. I tested the Wlan and it works really well and browsing speed it quite good. Con-call clarity is quite good.

Negative for this phone I felt two things

One when it starts it actually boots up like any PDA/Communicator, but takes some time to set in to catch the network or to respond to my clicks

Second it some time slows when I try to give faster clicks knowing what is the next steps. It kind of stalls for a second or so..

Any thing other that this comes in I wuld update my review

Coming to the cost for this, its cost me 20.5k with a 2gb m2 card. I know the costs would go done soon. Comparatively, I think this phone scores well ahead with all the features its got and be a trustworthy model like k750i
