This smartphone in the sub 10k price level is a pretty decent model to own. It is pretty versatile model, with a ~Large, bright display, visible in bright sunlight when backlight is on.~Crystal clear sound and good signal reception~VGA camera with 2x digital zoom~FM with upto 8 channel autoscan and save ~Infra-red, blootooth~GPRS compatible~mp3 player and mp3 ringtones~sound recording during calls~Run JAVA based applications.
Good looks and finishing, Over and above these fancy features it does a pretty decent job in receiving and making calls. Voice reception is usually clear and it comes with a handsfree with stereo headphone.This makes it a pretty attractive buy.However it has some flaws, too:1. The camera operation makes a loud chirp, and I could not find any way to stop it.2. The Joystick : It is usually harder to navigate using the joystick. Moreover this can really kill your joy once it starts malfunctioning. In my case it stopped working and I had to take it to the service center for repair. I had to wait for 1 week before I got it back. (Luckily I was within the warranty period).
The joystick is the weak link in this otherwise decent handset.3. The battery life is good, but not outstanding, considering the phone offers power hogging features like camera, mp3 playback...4. Memory (40 mb) is not expandable.5. Taking the sim in and out is a bit tricky, so if you need to swap sim often be careful, there is chance that you might break or scratch the sim.
