I had never bought a Sony product earlier. But I had got good feedbacks about Sony product in general. So without doing much enquires I bought Sony DAV-DZ10 about 4 months back. Later on I realized that I took a bad decision. Sound quality is not at all good. I have a Philips HTR5000 home theater system. Both are of comparable prices and specifications. But HTR5000 has 10 times more sound output than DZ10. So please don't buy DZ10 if you are planning to buy a HTS.
On the other hand I would recommend to go for Philips HTS. They have got very good products. You can really feel the theater effect in your home.
One feature I am happy about DZ10 is FM reciever. FM signals are catched without any distortion. And even the sound quality is good. But what I was really looking for was sound output.
One thing I realized after buying this product is, Never buy anything without doing a bit research. Especially in electronic products.
