Camera Related Accessories are not available. This camera is very good. I am using this camera for last 2 years. I don't know too much about technical but I want to tell you major problem related with this camera.
The camera itself is very good. But related accessories are not easily available. I am searching for a battery charger since my battery charger get damaged due to high voltage while travelling Amarnath. I can not get battery charger of this camera. At Sony related service centers no stock is available and they are telling too much price for the battery charger.
If I can repair the battery charger from local Electronics Shop I may hardly spend Rs. 200/- or Rs. 300/-.
But at Service Centers related with Sony the cost of battery charger is Rs. 4, 000/-. So take care while using Camera Related Accessories.
I can keep this camera in my shirt pocket while trekking. Sometimes when you are on trek you have to balance yourself and this tiny camera is good for that. If you are carrying heavy camera, you have to take care of camera and yourself. But when you have a tiny camera like this you can easily move onwards, without much efforts. When you want to take photographs of untouched beauty you have to walk inside jungles, on the forts, near rivers, caves. And this tiny but quality camera can do much better.
It is made for still photography. If you try to take video film from this camera its memory gets almost full. But it is very good for photographs. With the automatic setting you can take excellent photos of landscapes. With Micro settings you can take good photographs of flowers. It is user's friendly camera.
Which is the best season for photography? As per my opinion when the rainy season is getting over it is the best season for photography, at least in Sayadhri Ghats (Western Ghats). When rain starts it is convenient to cover this tiny camera with simple plastic bag.
While treaking we went inside jungles, sleep in temples and wandering on old forts. Sometimes we have to make our way from mud, river, jungle, steep rise. Sometimes while walking from caves moisture is there or rain water is dropping constantly; in these types of conditions waterproof hard-plastic cover will be favorable. Unfortunately water proof plastic covers are not available at reasonable price in India. Can someone in plastic industry take note of this and can manufacture these products? Especially waterproof covers of hard plastic are much needed because trekkers are facing much difficulty when the season is most favorable for photography.
Camera Related Accessories are not available and the cost is too much.
4 October 2007 - I want to note Recent Development.In a local Electronics Shop the Battery Chargerof this camera is available for Rs. 1, 100/-. It is expensive for a middle class person like me but its OK.
