I have been using the Sony Z5 for the last one year now.
Earlier I was a bit skeptical because having a non-nokia
phone was just not done.
But for some reason - actually the flap - I chose Sony.
And ever since I haven't had any reason to complain.
So there are no desktop images that can be saved. So the picture
messages are not as clear as in comparison to Nokia.
But that apart there are certain features which make the Sony Z5 quite
a handy mobile phone.
To begin with each name can be assigned a maximum of four numbers with
little signs which indicate whether it is a home phone, a cell or an office
number the call is being received from.
Secondly, the names can be organised in groups. The phone offers a maximum of nine
different groups.
Once the names are categorized into groups, the groups can be given distinct ringing
tones. So as soon as the phone rings, you almost know who is calling.
The phone offers 27 ring tones with the option of three more - which can be composed
yourself.
The next on the menu is the schedule which can store your schedule uptill the end of the
next century. A schedule information once stored can be repeated every week, every month or
every year. Quite convenient when you store a friend's birthday and are reminded of it every
year without actually having to feed it into your digital diary or your phone every year.
Then there is the clock which apart from the time and the alarm facilities gives you a world clock.
Displaying the time of all the important city capitals around the world. Many more can be added as well.
Last but not the least is the memo function which allows you to record any conversation you have on your phone
and store it for a long time.
The Sony Z5 also offers the wap facility.
To sum it up, it is a small, compact phone, with great features.
