CAR AUDIO. Review on Sony - CDX-GT350S

i wanted to fix a economical music system to my new car and finally ended up with sony instead of pioneer since I thought it would be value for money product and the the brand name sony has got very high reputation in my mind. I bought CDX-Gt350S from the grey market with all the above things in my mind at a bargain price of 6250/- along with JBL CS3196 wich got one yr guaranty. I never knew this is going to be a nightmare for me. Just after one dayi put the system into use, I tried playing a mp3 CD. The system couldnt play the CD and the displayed error message was CD ERROR . I tried putting different original CD's but still the same. Initially, I thought may be the lens need some cleaning. I approached the dealer who fixed the system and after inspection he told me that lens need replacement and it will be costing around 3900 rs!!!! I got stuuned hearing this. I was thinking,If I add 1K more I could buy a pioneer base model. What the hell is happening?? I could not say dealer cheated me becoz the one who supplied was a very good friend of mine and he will not be tampering with the set.I still cannot believe such a thing can happen from Sony stable which itself claims to have the best quality system in the world with a 6 sigma system. I heard that sony itself manufactures the lens and after reading some reviews I came to know that this happened to other peoples as well, so iam not the only person with such a issue. After much argument and bargaining he agreed to repair for 1500rs. So I insisted on the original lens which required 3 days of shipment time. Now after getting it fixed from the original Sony technician its now working without any fault for the last 2 months and giving quality sound also. Now something abt the system..If you consider that iam bit unlucky with what what happened to me , I must say that the system is a very good one , with very easy controls , nice leds, and the lens picks up the cds very fast and all controls are on tip of your hand. Overall iam impressed with the system and I would have fallen in love with it if my nightmare hasnt happened. But the thing is that getting the brand new set repaired will tear ur heart. Now sony + JBL speakers are giving me excellent output in sound..really amazing. Now the sony fault surely lies with their quality department. So its upto all those who reads this review, whether to go after the SONY brand or not.....One more advice for the readers is to get a system which gives you a warranty along with it..
