I have recently moved from Sony Wega 21 inch CDT TV to Sony Bravia LCD TV and I am happy about the decision.First of all, if you are moving from an CRT TV to an LCD TV, you may be a little uncomfortable initially about the picture inspite of playing around with all the settings. I suggest you the following:
(1) Search the web for "Sony Bravia picture settings". You will get a sufficient number of "good settings".
(2) Keep a set of settings that look OK and watch the TV for few days. I am sure you are going to love it.While the exact model you can choose depends on the money you have, I suggest 37s. A 32 inch LCD TV does not look sufficiently big compared to a 21 inch CRT TV due to the dimension difference they have.
A 40 inch one is great, but is costly. A 37 inch one is a great compromise for cost and size. Dont worry about the lack of Full HD. The 37s model is HD ready and can play HD TV.
