We bought this LCD (in June2009) thinking that we have got the best LCD, what market can offer. However, the product started having problems since thebeginning. There were channels on which there won't be any audio. And as thisoccurred on few occasions, the engineer who visited, said I can't help u until, this happens in my presence. The problem however diluted later on it's own.
And just after One year of completion, wide colored strips started appearing on the LCD, on which the engineer said that it's processing board has gone for six. This problem occurred as soon as our warranty ended on 02 June 2010. They asked for repairing charges and all. I mean is it a "cheapChinese product" for which company would take noresponsibility once the warranty has ended??Because this problem occurred only 15 days after the warranty ended. An LCD on which you spend bloody nearly 40, 000/-.
I felt cheated and duped, as on the other hand many brands are offering such a great choice.In fact, even the service coordinator, bluntly said that even if u go to theconsumercourt, nobody can force us to replace this LCD. What the hell !!!??? How can she say that, I felt betrayed by SONY. What would have happened, if we would have invested in 60, 000/ for buying a bigger LCD of SONY. I think SONY has lost the quality for which it was known. And all this happened within just 01 year of purchase.
Think before u buy any of the SONY products, as we have some couple of other SONY products, all of which are giving problems, time and again.
