I have been seeing good reviews of Sony LD TVs and therefore it's important that this review finds a place here. I am, unfortunately, a customer, faced with the cost of Rs 10, 000 to replaced a damaged Display Panel even though the TVS set is just over two years old and the TV has been only occasionally used ny me, a 80-year-old senior citizen.
The TV is no longer covered by the warranty period and I am left with no choice but to invest more money in an expensive product that I bought fairly recently with no guarantees that the replacement of the damaged part will serve me and for how long!
Either that or consign the TV to be recycled. Despite repeated emails to Sony, I have received no explanation for what is clearly a manufacturing defect in this series of LD TVs.Do I accept it as a electronic product failure and just shut up?
