I have returned from my first Goa trip today and I am itching to return soon.
Before my trip I was looking for a hotel and my conditions were
Should be in north Goa
Should not be very far from Panaji
Should have a beach view. If not atleast should not more than 5 mins walk from the hotel
After looking around I found Sonesta and selected it. And I am satisfied.
When we checked in we were given our room without any kind of fuss. However, we did not like the room as it was in the backside with no view. So we asked the front desk and they promptly changed our room to a much better pool view room.
Then we has a small problem of water supply in the bathroom which was rectified promptly too.
As we had been traveling for more than 12 hrs we were quite tired so we decided to have our food in the room itself. We ordered Prawns curry rice. The dish was perfectly prepared and tasted simply amazing. During our stay at Goa we had the same dish on two other occasions and both times it was really good but the one at Sonesta was simply out of this world.
The hotel is situated on the Candolim beach. There are no rooms with sea view but you can hear the ocean at night. The beach is visible from the restaurant.
The pool is really beautiful and there is a small jacuzzi as well. There is a fitness center also.
I would really recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a very calm place but very near to the hot spots.
