Recently I have done alot of online purchases from sites like snapdeal.com, flipkart.com, jabong.com, dealsandyou.com, makemytrip.com, timesdeal.com, groupon.co.in . I would like to share with you my experiences. In this review I would talk about snapdeal.com
Pros: Excellent customer service. I have experiences several instances where the customer care executives are very helpful and if any complaint is there they are prompt in solving. Recent example was I purchased one shirt in a scheme, the promo code got applied but in final COD order the discount was not reflected, I told them this and they told order is dispatched but its ok you tell the courier you have cancelled the order with snapdeal and sent it back.
Cons: Technically this site is very poorly build. They need to hire some good engineers.
If you browse on mobile and opt for full desktop site after opening one link it again goes to mobile version that so frustrating. Come on my iPhone 5 I can browse full version of websites and I want to do it not limited mobile version.
The price on thumbnail page shows very less but if you click on the product and goto buy price suddenly increases. This happens with me several times and I have attached the screenshot of it.
Sometimes their newsletter gives some sets of promo codes which do not work on website. example they sent out a mailer at 10.30am with MOB20, 20% discount. I tried accessing the site leaving all my work apart and trying to buy the mobile. However it did not work. I wasted 45 mins trying different combinations and at the end I did not get mobile frustrated me I mailed them. In the evening I got a call they said its started now. I tried again all good mobiles were sold off till then which I wanted. I wasted almost one hours buying nothing and getting frustrated.
Sometimes if products are not available they say sold out its good. However sometimes for apparells it does not say sold out and I click on BUY NOW it gives me pop up to select the size. When I click on size, I SEE all sizes are SOLD OUT. There is no way I can proceed with this order.
I waste my time but I cannot order. If all sizes are sold out why dont you have the sold out TAG in thumbnail page. Why frustrate the customer by making that come inside it. I have attached screenshot of this.
- First of all it does not have option to view 100-200 products per page once we come to bottom of the page automatically new products are shown its good but it does not work efficiently on all devices and browsers. On my iPad the more products browsing always gets stuck.
