I bought a N-Impex power bank from Snapdeal(order ID: 3831982627) that described mi was their OEM. It seemed like they took the mi product & colored them and sold them.
I bought the product. What was delivered was a fake. Here is the proof:-
- Does not allow'pass through' charge.
The original Mi Power bank supports pass-through charging. What it means that the power bank will also charge a mobile phone connected to it while it itself is being charged.
The supplied power bank does not have this capability and it will just charge itself and won’t pass on any current to the mobile phone connected to it. It will only charge the mobile when you disconnect the charger from the power bank.
The micro USB port is black, this is a deviation from the original product.
No'mi' branding inside the USB female port, a deviation from the original.
The supplied USB cable has'mi' branding on it, a deviation from the genuine product which does not have the same.
The original has mi.com printed on it, the supplied product has xiaomi.com printed on it.
The supplied product is substantially lighted compared to the original product.
The printing of the product capacity. While the original's printing is subdued, the duplicate's printing is loud.
The inside of the USB A male cable in the original is black, the supplied one is white.
Hence, I requested for a return & refund.
The return was picked up from me on the 13th of Dec, for delivery to Okhla Industrial Area, Phase III, which is 15~16Km from here.
Firstly, today is the 19th & I still do not see the payment credited to my SD Cash as requested. The Snapdeal website rules state SD Cash refund will reflect in 24 hrs from the receipt of returned equipment in their store.
I have called 4 times, since the 13th & the CS reps do not have an answer. I have requested to speak to their supervisor & have been put on hold for 20 mins+ after which I dropped the call.
This was my first successful purchasing experience from snapdeal. The previous attempt failed altogether. I have been purchasing online from eBay & Amazon for the last 10 years & never faced this kind of a situation.
Secondly, I have mailed to Snapdeal a number of times & I have received only system generated replies which are diplomatic & inconclusive.
Thirdly, the product delivered was a fake which I proved with photographs and technical reason. Despite that their mails & CS on call refer to the transaction as incorrect product delivered.
I regret my decision of trying to buy anything from Snapdeal.
