Going to Start my Experience by Giving FIVE Star Experience but on a NEGATIVE side for Snap Deal and reason is MOUTH SHUT is pushing all the five star experiences on your face .


If you look at the Mouthshut experience bar at the top of the web page it will have


5 star - 17%


4 star –19%


Total of 5 and 4 stars above= 17+19= 36%


2 stars= 8%


1 star= 47%


Total of 2 & 1 stars= 47+ 8= 55% stars


I am not considering the 3 stars at 8% they are practically sitting on the Fence and are neither Satisfied nor Dissatisfied But Really for all reasons they should be considered to for Negative experience.


SO SNAP DEAL is 55% Negative and 36% Positive,


Net Interpretation Negative Experience is Larger than Positive.


Now let me start my experience with Snapdeal


Got carried up with the Big Snap deal 2 front-page advertisements and the Diwali chakra experience and decided to have a look.


I was thinking to buy a Economical Electronic stuff for my General use and the Deal on with a big discount and a Bank Debit card cash back deal.


11th Oct 2016 – 1st day of Order


I started to place the order,


1)Started the payment and webpage wont show the banks offered discount. Had to call the Snapdeal help line. The guy stated try after half an hour(1st Red Flag but overlooked it)


2)Now banks offer is discounted -Snap deal payment wont accept the payment stating that they have lots of problem with the Bank giving discount.(2nd Red Flag again overlooked it)


Finally Order is placed.


Web site congratulates me for the order and tells me my order is upgraded to Snapdeal-GOLD.(But there is a small asterisk in the corner stating applicable only in select cities – didn’t pay attention as I was really not interested in it)


I am patting my back and bloated my chest like Arnold Schwarzenegger that I succeeded to get a deal


3rd Red flag was Delivery was any day about 11th to 14th Day after ORDER Date in Oct . This was really what I didn’t like but as it was a deal told my self that fine if Snap deal wants to send it by snail mail to save on costs. as such ignored it.


Now wait begins for delivery dates


19th OCT before the 1st promised deliver day(8th day after order)


With past experience if the order was to be delivered to me earliest by 21st OCT and delivery was to originate in Delhi and Destined for my pin code just outside Mumbai, would in all normal circumstances even by courier from Amazon it takes 3 days decided to Track my order.


Find that order is not dispatched, just stating “Order is Getting Ready for Dispatch”


Tried calling the Help line number and the IVR system wont let me talk to any one.


Finally raised a Online Query.


No Response Back except a Computerized Email, which did not even have the words of my compliant but just stating “we have received your Query”


20th OCT -1 day before the delivery day(9th day after order)


Early morning Tried calling the Help line number and the IVR system wont let me talk to any one.


Gave UP on calling and again raised an Online Query, about not receiving the Tracking details.


21st Oct 1st promised deliver day(10 days after day of order)


Finally IVR decided that some one needs to talk to me and decided to connect me to a Human. Kept me holding on line for 5 minutes with nothing more than music.


So Hung up.


Called up again, IVR agrees that I need to talk to some human and connects me to a representative, which has no answer on my query, and said that it will be upgraded to a full-fledged complaint.


I was told by the representative that the Computer should have been shipped on 17th OCT -5 days prior to 1st day of delivery as per the system, but at the moment they have no idea why the computer was not shipped I requested for a complaint docket, and was told that it will come on my Email and mobile by SMS.


No Docket number arrived in my SMS or email box.


After waiting till evening 4 pm and no Docket in my SMS or Email I decided to call again, and Mr. IVR system decides I am not eligible to talk to any one so keeps me telling all the option which I don’t want.


Not liking the treatment of rejecting to speak to a human, I raise a online query again.


And after some time I call again.


NOW Mr. IVR decided I am Eligible to talk to a human and get a human voice at the other end of the phone. Tell that have not received the agreed Docket number and a promise that response will be with in 24hrs from the time of query. That would be 9 am on 22nd morning.


22nd OCT -2nd promised deliver day


9.00 am I call Snapdeal Help line - IVR decides that I need to talk to some one forwards me on a HOLD of 5.50 min/sec . I disconnect


9.xx am I call again IVR forwards me on a HOLD of 6.42 min/sec. I disconnect


10.zz am I call again IVR forwards me on a HOLD of 5.47 min/sec. I disconnect


10.XX AM I CALL AGAIN NOW SURPRISE SURPRISE – MR. IVR SYSTEM DECLARES TO ME THERE IS NO ORDER ASSIGNED MY PHONE NUMBER.


I thought a system error so called again


11.xx am Mr. IVR system Declares to me there is no ORDER assigned my phone number.


Thinking that Snapdeal might have shipped the order as such my order was stuck off as completed.


I decide to check on delivery status on TRACK order and now


SURPRISE SURPRISE


TRACK ORDER BUTTON IS DISABLED, for my order, cannot do any thing from the Tablet App or from the Main website.


No sign that the Order is shipped


Now enough of this treatment


I DECIDE TO CANCLE MY OREDR HAD ENOUGH OF THIS SNAPDEAL NONSENSE.


NOW STARTS MY NEXT EXPERIENCE.


CANCLE BUTTON ON THE ORDER PAGE IS DISABLED, WILL NOT FUNCTION


Finally did some research and found a way to CANCLE THE Order.


1st Attempt to Cancel –(From my Tablet)


Tablet declares that CANCLE is confirmed and I will receive a Email from Snapdeal to Confirm the Cancellation.


Waited for half an hour - NO Confirmation Email.


Thought of Calling Help line – but decided against it due to Mr IVR and had heard the Music long enough to play the tune.


2nd Attempt


As no email received just to re-check that order cancellation was complete I Open the Web site from my Laptop and to my surprise the ORDER is still there, with ALL the TRACK and CANCLE Buttons in Disabled state.


Using the method on Table started the 2nd attempt, and to my surprise the there is a SECOND Step of re-confirming the Refund mode.


Completed the second step and got the ORDER Cancelation on Web and as well immediately received the EMAIL.


NOW don’t know if really the payment will be Credited to my Bank account in Four days as per the email received .(Hope that I don’t have to write another review about chasing the Refund of my own money)


Please All give me all the BEST Wishes so that the payments will come in time and I don’t have to listen and wait to the whimsical moods of Mr. IVR.

The complete experience was a negative


In Particular


1) IVR System decides if you can talk to the humans in Snapdeal


2) Query handling was at its MAX – Hopeless Inefficient.


3) 1st query raised on 19th OCT -NO Response till 22nd OCT on the– Full 2 days NO response.


4) Biggest Negative is disconnecting my Order registration from my phone number(to me it was to avoid responding) as IVR wont connect me to any one, as I had no order pending.


5) Long Holding times with out any response from the other end.


6) Looks like Snapdeal has no control over the Vendors. And Vendors call the shots.


7) No Proactive system in place to deal with delays, had I waited for 24th Oct the last day of delivery, I would be still getting the same response .


Conclusion


MY First and LAST attempt to purchase from Snapdeal . I will never again use Snapdeal or Recommend SNAP Deal.


What really Irritating was Disconnecting my order from my registered phone number. so that IVR system cannot decide what to do and keep me hanging.


Learning


1) Don’t pay in advance for any items which have a long delivery dates.


2) If you wish to buy the item for use COD if available


3) Look for Red flags for Discounts declared and which red flag can start with Web page declaring the discount cannot be added .


Would I have waited for Snapdeal to deliver by 24th OCT its Last day of promised delivery date?


Yes if the answers/response would have been positive and this STUPID IVR was not irritating.


To add to it I must say I placed order on Snapdeal against advise of my Children who had told me that Snapdeal only good for COD orders, and for Cheap Chinese stuff.

Experience on other Websites


What stood out were the Response time, and the content and clarity of the statements by the seller on query raised.


This experience is from Ebay Hong Kong website. I had ordered a Audio Tape to MP3 Converter from Ebay Hong Kong.


The agreed mode of delivery was normal Postal Delivery.


I waited for the delivery period and sent a query to the Seller that Item not received.


With in 12hrs I received a mail that he regrets it and asked me to wait for few more weeks as the shipment was during the Chinese NEW year and told me that a Few Weeks delay was Normal, during this time due to very high consignments handled by Post office. He also stated that he regrets that he missed out to tell me that before accepting the order.


As the order was not that important I had forgot about it but exactly after the agreed time frame I received a mail requesting me to confirm if the item was received.


I had not received the item I told him that.


He sent me a email to get a gentleman agreement that if by chance I get the item delivered in future I will arrange to pay him. I agreed and


MY money was refunded in four days.


Snapdeal attitude and experience is in Stark contrast to this attitude .


ATTIDUTE IS WHAT SELLER’s best Advertisement, which Snap deal lacks


Would be a Interesting case of Research and investigation on how much money was used by Snapdeal as a Floating Capital on such


Overall SNAP DEAL used my Money paid in full as advance as a floating Working Capital for more than 15 days. Free of COST.
