I bought a 3000 Rs worth kitchen rack from snapdeal using COD. It took ages for the package to come but that was OK since it was coming from far away.
When the rack DID come however, it was in disgusting shape. The packaging was disgusting - the screws for the rack were in a USED FOOD BAG, TIED WITH A USED HAIR TIE THAT HAD HAIR IN IT! Even worse was the fact that the rack itself was nothing like the pictures - it wasn't even half of what was pictured! Seriously though, the packing was filthy I can't believe that Snapdeal let such a gross item get into the hands of a customer.
The same day I got the rack, I filed a return request, printed off a return page, packed the rack back using the same packing, and taped on a return sheet.
I was pleased to find that the return guy came back the very next day, and take away the pile of junk I got. Also, Snapdeal put my 3000 Rs in a freecharge account which I was OK with, since I used the balance elsewhere and recharged my mobile phone with it too(which was quite convenient!^).
The returns/delivery/refund process was absolutely fantastic and I was super happy with the convenience. 5/5 to Snapdeal for the excellent service.
0/5 for product quality check however. Perhaps my order was a minority order that got through the quality check procedure without being checked or something - because the item itself was in a pathetic state.
I would recommend giving Snapdeal a try. Familiarize yourself with returns/exchanges/refund policies before buying! The convenience is worth it, so give the site a shot - hopefully you'll receive a product in perfect condition, unlike my experience.
