I am writing about recent customer service experience. There are two, by the way.
The First Encounter:I had finally checked out and paid for the product, but when the website reverted back to the product page, it showed Out of Stock, but they had debited the money from my bank account. There was no log entry or order history. It was like wow, the money disappeared from my bank.
I waited many days to see if it gets resolved, they have all sorts of bells and wistels claiming that money will be safe if orders won't get through.
I communicated clearly the dilemma I was facing, but the only response I had from them was asking me to quote order number, I told them, there is no order number and asked them to check with account department and higher ups, but they kept sending me the same scripted replies. I must have communicated atleast 10 times to make them understand. I also sent them the transaction number, but, to axe my ankle, they asked for the dreaded order number. Again.
Man, were they on substance abuse spree? I am really interested to snoop their customer service floor. Viola! I had to resort to the time tested text book method to knock some sense to these numbskulls. I told them I will sue. Finally got the reimbursement. Ayo Rama!.
The Second Encounter: I wanted to end the relationship with them. But I didn't want to leave any trace such as my address and other additional addresses in their address book. While I tried to delete or modify the existing address, there was no option. It's like once you key in a address, you can't do anything about it.
I bought this issue to them, and they were again on substance abuse spree. Ayo Rama!, after repeated attempts, they said they were helpless and unable to modify or alter any address. If privacy matters to you, better look elsewhere. I eliminated their app and swore never to use their services again.
On the brighter side I like how Amazon treats me. The addresdbook was flawless, I never faced any problems with them or flipkart to compare customer service experience. But I just became a big fan of Amazon, I am willing to shell more if the e-commerce companies treats me better and give me better experience while shopping.
Thanks for reading, appreciate it.
