Unbelievable crap going on in at snapdeal. It is the worst ever website on the face of this universe! I bought a gold chain of 18Kt purity that was of 1 gram weight a few weeks back. I paid Rs.3800/- for it. When it arrived it needed a microscope to see it and wanted to return right then, and it as also within the 7 day TRUSTPAY POLICY but they said that they would not take it back. I was so pissed off. Do not trust their Trustpay thing, IT DOES NOT WORK.
I was just going through some stuff on the internet today and stumbled upon some stuff that said that gold is non-magnetic. So I decided to do a little test on the chain that I bought at Snapdeal from a vendor called Jewelcreation. I took a really small magnet and ran it through the length of the chain and found out that it did not attract. But the clasp and the other end that were hallmarked as'750' were attracted to the magnet.
Then I realized that the part that made up the heaviest part of the chain were all magnetic and not gold. I then took it to a jeweler and he confirmed the same. Without the clasp and the other end, he said it would weighed abuot 0.35 grams to 0.45 grams.
I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND SNAPDEAL TO EVEN MY WORST ENEMY! MOST FRAUDULENT WEBSITE IN INDIA. And their return policy called Trustpay is a bag of crap.
