SNAPDEAL REQUEST NO: 12221673. Snapdeal cancelled my order(as the item went out of stock) and instead of refunding me the amount back they gave SD cash(in hindsight I should not have accepted this). The precise mail I got from snapdeal is pasted at the end. THIS IS THE ONLY MAIL I RECEIVED FROM SNAPDEAL REGARDGING CASH REFUND.


The link in the email only referred to usage of SD cash while making payment. Nowhere in this mail or any subsequent mails was I communicated about expiry date of SD cash. Seems that there was some policy change and SD cash had validity of 6 months. I was never intimated about it.


Now recently when I tried to purchase something of snapdeal using SD cash the transaction was denied stating that SD cash has expired. I am following up with SD customer support team for more that 1 week now. The support team kept on saying that your request has been escalated, the team is in process of refunding the amount as it was their mistake, it will done within 24-48 hrs.


But today I forced them to transfer my call to supervisor expecting that he will provide reasonable update on refund status but this guy was really disappointing. He kept on uttering same things for any question I posed.(1) he said I have a snapdeal account so I should go and keep on checking the policies.(2) why did not I visit the website for over 6 months for any purchase(3) why did not I ask for cash refund initially itself, etc.


This has been my worst online shopping experience. There should be a way to stop these unethical practices/ fraud done by companies like snapdeal.
