Here I am sharing my worst ever online shopping experience ever, and it’s with SNAPDEAL. I always preferred Flipkart for any online shopping and they have never disappointed me. But this time I tried something new(Snapdeal), as I was getting a mere 1000/- less on a laptop and I burnt my hands and it’s a big lesson learnt. So I warn all customers to think twice before you shop through Snapdeal and dealing with Snapdeal’s customer support is a nightmare. Here is my story:


I got the laptop delivered from snap deal on Nov 28th and on Day 1 performance of the laptop was bad and the track pad of the laptop was faulty and not responsive enough. Then I thought I will install all drivers and get all system updates and maybe then the trackpad would start working better, because it was a multi touch trackpad and I thought its was driver and updates dependent. Even after installing all system updates and drivers, and trying out all configurations, all efforts failed to fix the track pad issue. So I raised a complaint with customer support on Day 4(Dec 2nd - Support Request #4161358), under the belief I was still under their TRUSTPAY policy of 7 days refund or replacement, I did not get any response from the customer support. So later, I raised another complaint on Day 5(Dec 3rd: Support Request #4175232). Still I dint get any response.


So I called up the customer care and asked them for, why was my complaint not addressed and why din't I receive any call from the customer care. Then the customer care representative said my phone was not reachable. To my surprise I was worried to hear such lame reason(which I used to try during, y childhood days), as my phone was very much active and there were no issues with my phone's network or coverage. So once again, I gave them my mobile number(which was already stored in their system) and also emailed my phone number and email id, so that they can contact me and not give any more lame reasons or excuses.


I still did not get any response on Day 6 and Day 7. While on 8th day, I get a mail from customer care that since 7 days(the TrustPay thing!) are over and they will not support me anymore and, I will have to contact the laptop brand customer care for any further issues.


These snapdeal customer representatives(support to be TrustWorthy as per their TrustPay policy), just delayed and pushed the 7 days by saying that I my phone was not reachable, and did not provide me any assistance for the issue that I was going through. And later washed off their hands by directing me to the laptop brand customer support. Finally what happened was forget Refund or Replacement, I didn’t get a basic clean customer support! I now think twice of shopping online because of such firms emerging in the market.


I will never ever deal with Snapdeal for any shopping. I was a loyal customer for FlipKart and I have always had a great experience shopping with them. This time I thought I will try snapdeal as I was getting 1000/- less, but it's a lesson learnt experience and I will not recommend Snapdeal for anyone!
