I was searching for some headphones (Skull Candy) for my daughter's birthday. After searching a lot I came across what I wanted on Snapdeal.com. I placed the order and chose the COD, this was lucky since the order was never delivered. The earliest date for shipping was given as 5 days.
When the headphones did not arrive, I went to check again and the delivery was rescheduled to 3 days further. Same thing happened again after 3 days and this time it was delayed 5 days. I called the customer support number and a cocky CSR named Priya picked up. I politely told her my issue and she bluntly told me - "but we have delayed the shipment date" I asked Priya what if you don't deliver on the 13th day, her cocky reply was - "then you can cancel" Since I had heard so much advertizing of Snapdeal I thought this is my first order, let me give them more time.
Finally on the 14th day after I ordered and the shipment date showing an earlier date , I called and cancelled the order. this time the CSR was a bit apologetic. She informed me that my item was "out of stock" and I could order a more expensive item that was in stock. It is surprising that a a net savvy company can't maintain up-to-date stocks. The amazing thing is that I ordered the same item from Flipkart and got it delivered the very next day.
So flipkart is flipped into my net shopping and snapdeal is snapped out.
