When I first clicked over to this rather simple looking site, my first thoughts were that there was not much information here. However, upon closer examination this is what I found.

Opening Page

On the opening page, in the very first sentence it clearly defines what this site is dedicated to doing. It is dedicated to educating parents on the best ways to keep their children safe from some of the dangers presented on cyberspace.

The page is set up so simple, that as I stated above, it looks like there is not much here, but there is plenty here to be found. The topics I found were Safety, kids, parents, faq, newsletter, about, blocking and filtering software, protection tips, parent and child friendly sites, agencies and organizations that focus on internet related issues.

Safety

The safety page addresses just that, the resources that are available to help keep your family safe on the web. Things such as Consumer Reports reviews links whereby parents can click and view what has been written about the various filters that are on the market. Online Services or Internet Service providers that offer some type of safety resources for parents trying to protect their children. Other which offers basically links to various filters. Safety Tips which offers tons of wonderful and useful information on how to safe guard oneself on the internet. Childrens Pledge to Online Safety which is basically a print to use page that you and your child can read and agree too. Online E-essentials is a consumers guide to Internet safety, privacy and security.

Kids

This page will take you to a series of links that are safe for children and parents. Links that fall under the topics of fun kid sites, sites for teens, family sites, and educational sites.

Parents

When I visited this section of the site, it also offered tons of links to wonderful sites such as parenting sites, especially for Dads, Step Parenting sites, Grand Parenting sites, Agencies and organizations, Children Health Resources, Children Safety Resources, Sites for Education, and family sites.

Faq

The Faq section of this site offers more information on keeping your children safe on the web along with other wonderful bits of information on keeping your child safe.

Newsletter

At the beginning of every month, they send out a Smart Parents newsletter which is full of links to fun sites for kids and information for parents.

In closing

This site, and all its links, seems to be a very useful and informative site on the web. I think that it has a lot to offer someone that is trying to keep their child safe on the web.
