Oh yes, I could dare to write this. There has been a much hype about this movie. When I really heard about Golden Globe, I was too curious to see the movie and then I watched live on BBC about its all nominations!

Well, to be clear cut here, I cannot remember ONE SINGLE scene that FAVORS INDIA! The story is okay but not an award winning! I had heard a lot about how a western director shows typical India(I am not sure about this much worse description of the nation in original Book). Right from Jamaal enjoying a DIP in human excreta to corruption and garbage everywhere, the whole movie shows India as nothing but a shitty place, which is certainly NOT.

I do not understand the people who agree upon'this is real India' and enjoying the movie up to the fully extent! If you want to show a REAL India, show that there are still many progeny who respect elders and are really polite, show the friends here who never betray and are ready to die for their bosom friends, show the womanhood we have in India and show the wives who care their husbands and though they speak too harsh or even beat, care about them. Show sisters who love their brothers, show the uniqueness, the daring and campaigns that are towards the revolution.

It is probably the first movie that shows'shit' first and then Taaj Mahal. I really remember circuit's dialogue in Munnabhai(even, one review has mentioned it) when he asks Chinese that'tum logo ko kya bhukhe nange hi dikhte hai, you don't see taaj mahal? huh?

About the music score - Sir A R Rahman, what I feel is you DESERVE AWARD FOR ROJA/BOMBAY but getting it in SLUMDOG lol! Take my words, Rahman will get OSCAR(funny! there are only three nominations, out of which two are ARR's!, so that speaks it!)

Frankly, there is nothing in music. Anyone will agree with me that soundtracks in SM are nothing against Tu Hi Re, Kehna Hi Kya, Ye Hasi Wadiya etc. Winning awards solely depend upon the juries who might never have come across songs like what I mentioned just now!

I think the movie has nothing left in showing India a substandard nation where even MOST POPULAR NATIONAL show's host does CHEATING!, A foreigner protects Jamaal and tells him to show Real America(lol, the real america where a daughter, in front of her mother, goes with her boyfriend saying she may not come to home tonight! Mother agrees saying, no worries, pick me up from X hotel next morning where I am staying tonight with your uncle lol). No doubt, it may happen everywhere, and I don't criticize Americans(New York City is my Dream City though!) but please do not show this to the whole world! Do not earn out of showing someone so ugly, so awkward. The real inda is in neo-classic'Mother India'dude!

So, the movie, its subject is quite okay but do not give too hype, the ballyhoo it has is just due to so called'real india' it has in it.

Good Question - Had this been directed by some Indian. this would have been a great issue and probably many groups might have teared posters and might have burnt up the prints)

Acting: Nothing great, in fact, there is no acting! Jamaal is giving answers all the time, that does not require acting!

Songs: Not up to the mark(mark is ROJA, BOMBAY)

Direction: If finding shittiest place is direction, it is good lol!

Plot: No doubt, very good
