I bought a Skoda Rider about 18 months back and suddenly the gear stick just refuses to fall in the 2nd and 4th gear. When the same was shown to the Skoda service centre they tell me that the whole gear mechanism will need to be changed and that it will take them more than a month to procure one and that too at a cost of 1.35 lacs.
Is there some one here that can help me with some more information on this - as would this really be the case / do we really need to change the entire gear mechanism - what can a person in this situation do
