This is abt the skoda rs which is available in India..... all you people who owns one are really lucky :)
Few things abt the skoda rs :-
skoda rs is not really the rally car or the suspension ... the suspension is taken from the 2.0 skoda octavia....
skoda octavias engines horse power have been decreased as they say that india dosent provide fuel for that kind of power ... again this is CRAP... why is the company clubed with the "PETES" who will tune the "RS" till 450 bhp with all their tuning parts ....
our "RS" is really not value for money .... we dont get "ESP" and no extra electronic features such as "ASR" ESP" TCS" BAD " BAS........ we only have "ABS" thank god for that ......
We dont get seat heaters in the front ... you may ask why do we need all these ..... when u start seeing the original "RS" you tend to feel bad that we dont get all these small things ..... here our dealers say that every bit of the car is same except the power decrease .....
YOU DONT GET THE 17" SPYDER ALLOYS FROM THE ORIGINAL CAR... we get 16" spyder alloys.... with a good set of rubber....
THE INTERIORS are pretty decent .... and the pedals are lil hard but very good feel of the clutch while dragging , the brake gives u a very very very good response when turning .... the gear is really good when u shift from 1st to 2nd ...... the dashboard feels good... the seats keep u steady .....
the rear is pretty good ....i dont know why ppl say that there is not much room at the back ....THIS IS THE TRUTH...
the exteriors are sporty , bubbly to be frank .....it is rather good from the front and the rear ..... the sides sucks .... it looks as if the car has been hit from both the sides ..... the only thing you notice is the front sports bumper and the vrs badge and the huge sexy alloys which sticks to the road prety good .....my friend said that the tires are very bad on wet roads .....the colours you get are :- silver, black, red...... 3 of them are very good .... I love the black as I recently booked it .... just waiting to lay my hands on the car :) ......the paint quality is unbeatable ... but u shld maintain it like a baby ....be away from the water as the engine is low .... the electricals may give u a problem once spalshed with water .... just a warning .... THE RS IS A VERY VERY SENSITIVE CAR ..... the car has to be driven with respect .... if not ... it may take u directly to the service station where u dont even have a second to speak when u see the bill .... very dangerous once entered with trouble ...
mileage ... WHO SAID THAT IT WILL GIVE 21 KMPL .... I DONT KNOW FROM WHERE PPL COPY THESE STUFF ... if u drive it very very very smoothly with any mistake .. proper gear shifts ... proper banking .... with you A/C on ... you will get 10-12 kmpl easily ..... but when u rip the car .... with A/C on .... you get 6-8 kmpl ..... on highway no one has tested in my team .... so no comments .... I bet no one would like to take the rs on a highway for sure ......
THE HEAD LIGHTS ARE BAD ..... they dont give u a clear view at all ...... but looks good tho :) .....
THE SUSPENSION IS VERY GOOD FOR OUR ROADS .... any car will give u a trouble when driven on potholes and ditches and speed breakers ... so its our duty on how we handle them .... the smoother the ride .. the better u feel .... FEW PPL SAY THAT IT IS HARSH ON BAD ROAD ....thats a fact .. any car I bad on bad roads .....WHAT SAY ???
THE ENGINE IS SILKY SMOOTH .... WITH NOT MUCH OF TURBO LAG ..... THERE IS ENOUGH POWER TO BEAT A ACCORD , CAMRY , MAGNUM ( SORRY :) ) , COROLLA , CIVIC , 3 SERIES , A4....... TO A LIMIT :) ... dont expect tooo much from this car ... b'coz .... beamers and audi's are not sitting ducks .... they are the ones who created cars like " rs " ages ago ...... THE " RS" WE DRIVE IS FAST COMPARED TO INDIAN CARS ...... THAT TOO GOD KNOWS TILLWHEN ... b'coz there are cars coming from mitsubishi , honda , chevy , ....... so these companies aint newbies rite ????
ONE SHLD BUY THIS CAR IF HE HAS NOTHING MORE THAN TO DRIVE TO THE OFFICE AND A VERY SMALL DRIVE IN THE EVENINGS ..... HE WILL JUST ENJOY THE CAR IF HE IS TRAVELLING 100 KMS PER DAY ..... THIS IS PETROL SO ONE SHLD THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING THIS BEAST .....

THE SKODA "RS" if tuned properly after spending 3-4 lakhs ..... dont ask me .... just dream abt a skoda rs .... like .. 1900 cc ( engine totally modified , ) , bigger turbo , suspension ( sports ) , big discs and brake pads .... borla exhuast ... what not ..... remapped to phase 3 ...... 450 bhp ..... I just read it on https://petes.in ..... just imagine how the car goes ...... :)
