HI,
My name is jatin and I stay in delhi. well.....to describe the Skoda Octavia is like
describing a masterpiece, an art in itself. I got to know this car as one of my close
friends own one. The car has travelled more than 80000kms on its odometer yet it
looks as good as new. The car is a true workhorse as it used to travel from
Himachal Pradesh to new delhi every week. it's gives a tank like look , which
depicts it aggressive behaviour. The design of the car is a true masterpiece of
engineering. Now, lets talk about the engine of the car. Under the hood lies the
smooth yet powerful 1.9 turbocharged engine from the famous volkswagon group.
As we all know that germans r famous all over the world for thier cars and
volkswagon makes the best diesel engines in the world, So we have a mix of
solid german quality and reliable engine from the volkswagon stable.
I have driven this car on the highways and trust me she is a true beast from inside.
So silent inside and yet a rage on the roads. The corolla, lancer and the optra r no match for this car. In india, this is the only diesel car, that has the ability to beat other cars in the same category in terms of performance and speed.
Switch off the aircon and she is ready to challenge the might honda accord on the highways. I have taken her to her limits i.e. 190kph on the G.T road and yet she feels
so stable. we had once taken her to shimla on our holidays,we kept her at an average speed of 120-130kph on the highway and 90kmh on the hills and she delivered us a mileage of 19km to a litre. (It's cheaper than a bus, guys).
The only cons to this car is its back seat. it feels cramped and one has to squeeze legs to sit properly. The aircon is pretty good to chill u down in the scorching heat.
The boot space is pretty good, even the service and the spare parts r easily available,
The Turbocharger in this car is quite efficient and can take u to record speeds in just seconds. press the accelerator and the turbo comes to life. Cross 130kmph and the only thing u hear is the turbo screaming, telling u to accelerate more and more.
Trust me, if u r looking for a car with awesome speed, luxury, mileage, boot space,
and reliability, then the Skoda Octavia 1.9TDI is the car for u.
